In the event we have continued fuel increases above $3.85 per gallon we reserve the right to increase our rates to be able to maintain our high standards or service.  We will continue to run to the fishing hot spots and not troll to them like other charter services. We will continue to fish the hot spots until it is time to return and not leave them early to troll back. We will not fish close to home to conserve fuel. We will always have good baits and quality equipment to use. We will not cut corners that would ever effect safety or performance.

RESERVATIONS

A $150 deposit must accompany each half day charter trip reservation and $250 deposit for each full day charter reservation. Deposits are not refundable and not transferable unless canceled by the Captain due to bad weather. Season runs from April thru September. Last minute reservations can be made occasionally, but to avoid disappointment, book early!

There are times when the Captain decides that conditions on the Lake are such that no trip should be made. While the weather forecasts are done with extreme care, there is no way to predict when a charter may have to be canceled until the very day of the trip. If this happens, the charter fee will be prorated.

WHY RATES DIFFER ?

The rate structure from one charter service to another is dependent upon several factors. A boat that has twin engines, the size and type of boat, the Captains experience, and if a first mate is provided all factor in the expense of a charter trip. We have twin engines, the size of our boat is one of the largest in the fleet, and the hull is made of heavy fiberglass providing a stable and safe ride as compared to other construction materials. Our Captain has over thirty four years experience fishing on Lake Superior and is celebrating his twenty-second year as a full time guide.   We provide a first mate whose wages are paid for . You will not see a sign on our boat that says "MATE AND CREW WORK FOR TIPS ONLY". We provide an honest and safe service and if you wish references just let us know. Remember that the charter service you choose is not only to put you onto the fish, but is also responsible for your safety. There is a time to shop PRICE....now is not the time! Remember that a GOOD PRICE does not necessarily mean GOOD VALUE.
