captain, Captain Steve Johnson. Together they have pledged to work together to
make your fishing experience a memorable one. Both have many years of experience
and will make sure your fishing charter is safe and exciting.

Captain Steve is in high demand as a Charter Fishing Guide
in the Duluth area. Annually he provides four times the number of charter trips
than the average licensed Lake Superior guide. (This statistic is based on the
Minnesota's Department of Natural Resources Charter Fishing Guides Annual
Report.) Other charter services try to imitate us but we are never duplicated.
Don't be fooled
by YOUTHFUL ENTHUSIASM....I PERSONALLY have 28 YEARS of SAFE & SUCCESSFUL EXPERIENCE as a FULL TIME GUIDE. Our
charters are aboard a large 31 Foot Sport fisherman with a 12.5 foot beam (width) that is made of solid fiberglass and provides a quiet, safe
and SMOOTH ride that does not require assigned seating while underway. Feel free to move about on
"The Opti I" instead
of being told to remain in one seat for the entire ride out and back. We cater to your comfort and safety.
This is not a part time job for US, nor is it a hobby! We take great pride in
OUR work and ability to make sure people get on the water regardless if we have the sniffles or if the wind is blowing and creates extra work for
US. If it is still SAFE to go, we will. You have planned your fishing adventure for some time and have taken valuable vacation time, not to mention travel expenses.
We will do our best to get you safely on the water fishing. Safety is always our
first concern, but if the days work is going to be harder due to the wind or rain
we do not mind the extra work. That is why it is a full time job, not a hobby or a desire to fish only on nice days. The best time to go fishing is when YOU can and
we will always attempt to make it YOUR BEST DAY!
